waste pyramidThe Team at Bimeda Telsol in the UK are always looking for ways to reduce, re-cycle, re-use or repurpose waste.

Hot rods which are used in the facility’s Melter are delivered in large wooden crates, which cannot be easily recycled locally. Employees at the site are encouraged to apply creative thinking to find alternative solutions to deal with waste.

In the case of these large wooden crates, an operator identified an opportunity to repurpose them into planters. The crates are filled with native flowers, which attract local pollinators and help to support local biodiversity.

This project is a great example of how the team at Telsol apply sustainable thinking, to create both small and large solutions to waste management challenges.
