Bimeda Le Sueur Turns Waste Plastic Into Benches

The team at Bimeda Le Sueur, Minnesota signed up to participate in a local ‘bags to benches’ recycling program. The program sees Bimeda Le Sueur collect soft plastics which are generally not suitable for local recycling and provide them to a specialist recycling organisation. For every 500lbs of plastic collected, the organisation donates a bench for use in the community. In February 2023 Bimeda Le Sueur made their first donation, of 871 lbs of used stretch wrap and plastic bags, that would have otherwise been taken to a landfill. The Le Sueur team will continue to collect their waste plastic to donate to this fantastic initiative.
